Jenny and I got a night off last week to go to Sodo Park for ‘We Heart Sharlane‘, a benefit for a local photographer, Sharlane Chase, who was diagnosed with cancer last year. Though I haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting Sharlane face to face, we wanted to go because we are deeply committed to supporting other photographers, especially when they are in need.

We were lucky enough to have a portrait/engagement session featured as part of the silent auction to help raise funds for Sharlane. Congrats to the winning bidder, Holly Strand, a local photographer who is getting married to her beau David this August! Can’t wait to shoot their engagement session this spring!

We finally got a chance to put some faces to names while we were mingling in the crowd of very talented local wedding professionals — among them, Jenny Jimenez, Lucas Mobley, Alex Rubin, Chris and Sarah Rhoads, Starr of Starr Photography, and a couple of the Junebug gals. Great to finally meet you all.

As things settled down, Jenny and I — being the awesome dorks we are — snuck away to a corner and stole a few shots of ourselves. And one quick panorama =)

Jenny - Ah hahahaha! I love them!!! I was worried they were gonna be REALLY dorky because of your comment, but I think they were just the right amount.. Haha! I was so glad to finally put faces to many of the names you refrence every once in a while, too! That was a great night!! :)
